Run It Back

Celebrating the iconic and groundbreaking queer films that shaped our history and paved the way for today’s queer cinema.

Introducing Run It Back

Introducing Run It Back, Inside Out’s 2025 retro screening series at Paradise Theatre, where we hit pause on the present to celebrate the iconic and groundbreaking queer films that shaped our history and paved the way for today’s queer cinema.

In the lead-up to our 35th anniversary in 2025, Inside Out’s programming team has curated a selection of iconic queer films that challenged the industry and redefined their moment.

A vintage-style photo shows a crowd gathered outside a theater with a marquee that reads "Welcome to Paradise." Text on the image says "Inside Out" and "Run It Back" in the upper left corner.

Upcoming screening

Run It Back continues with a free screening of Closet Monster (2015) this Thanksgiving! Bring your chosen family and spend the evening at the movies with us on October 13 at Paradise Theatre. Closet Monster is a distinctively offbeat and emotionally striking coming-of-age story about a creative teenager desperate to escape his hometown and the haunting memories of his turbulent childhood.

A young person with short brown hair stands in soft lighting, wearing dramatic black and white face paint around their eyes, looking off into the distance with a thoughtful expression.
