The Library

The Library is a free online resource for youth, educators and community organizations, that houses 2SLGBTQ+ films and customized educational material.

Including documentaries, narratives and animations that explore topics such as queer history, sexuality, mental health, parenting and coming out.

Whether you’re a teacher, youth educator or parent who’s planning for an upcoming school year, GSA club meeting, or simply looking to connect – the Library is here to help you assist and diversify knowledge that should be available to all youth.

How to get a Library Card

If you are an educator or affiliated with a youth organization and would like to access The Library, please fill out our Access Form. Instructions will be provided within the next 24-48 hours.

Who can access The Library?

The Library’s content is available to educators working in schools and/or community organizations. If you have any questions about accessing The Library as an educator, please email thelibrary@insideout.ca.

How do I sign up?

First, you’ll need to complete the Access Form and be approved by our team. Once approved, you will receive an email confirmation and an invitation from CineSend (our streaming platform) with instructions on how to sign up and view all the available content.

What types of films are available?

We have a diverse selection of short and feature films, including narratives and documentaries, that explore a range of topics such as mental health, sexuality, queer history, parenting, and coming out. To be able to browse the catalogue you must register first.

I’m registered but can’t login.

Please ensure that you have received a confirmation email and signed up for a CineSend account. If you’re still having issues, please contact programming@insideout.ca.

How long can I access after registering?

Once approved, you can use the library as long as you’d like! However, if your account remains inactive for more than 18 months, it will be removed from the platform, and you’ll need to register again.
