Fundraising Outbid

A little star power for the royal court.

Presenting the co-chairs of Outbid 2026: Harrison Browne and Lauren Chan.

From breaking barriers in professional hockey to reshaping fashion and media, Harrison and Lauren are making their mark across sport, culture, and entertainment while creating more space for 2SLGBTQ+ stories and representation.

Harrison Browne (he/him) is the first transgender athlete in professional hockey and helped establish the first transgender policy in professional sports in North America. He serves as the appointed inclusion leader for the NWHL advisory board and as a special ambassador for the NHL’s Hockey Is for Everyone initiative. He is the co-author of Let Us Play: Winning the Battle for Gender Diverse Athletes. As a filmmaker, his short film PINK LIGHT premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and screened at Inside Out in 2026. He is also an actor, recently appearing in the hit series Heated Rivalry.

“Inside Out is a vital space for queer and trans stories to be told. I’m grateful for what Inside Out has given me and for the people it continues to inspire through the power of film. As an audience member, an artist, and now as a co-chair for Outbid, I’m always excited to be a part of this incredible community”

Lauren Chan (she/her) is a model, writer, and actor known for championing 2SLGBTQ+ voices in fashion and media. She made history as Sports Illustrated Swimsuit’s first lesbian cover star and has since worked in television as a host on series like Drag Race Canada and Project Runway Canada, red-carpet correspondent for Etalk and Netflix Canada, and contestant on the Traitors Canada. Her acting debut was this year’s The Devil Wears Prada 2 and she is set to join the cast of the upcoming season of Heated Rivalry. Recognized by organizations and publications including the Canadian Arts and Fashion Awards, OUT Magazine’s OUT100, Elle Canada’s Women on the Rise, and Toronto Life’s Most Influential Canadians, Lauren is also currently working on her debut book.

“Representation for 2SLGBTQ+ people in film and television is incredibly important. When we are able to freely tell our stories, become understood, and get connected, the world gets better and safer for our community. Everyone deserves to see a version of themselves in that representation, and Inside Out makes that possible for many queer audiences and artists.”
