Filmed on a shoestring budget by a group of students in 1965, Winter Kept Us Warm is widely considered to be English Canada’s first gay film. The latest in the Queer Film Classics series from McGill-Queen’s University Press, writer Chris Dupuis’s monograph delves into Winter’s complex history and legacy. The event includes the premiere screening of a newly restored print and a Q&A with Dupuis and director David Secter.
