On Friday, December 13, Inside Out is back to celebrate the season with our most beloved holiday tradition, A Christmas ‘Carol’ — though our version has less Dickens and a lot more Cate Blanchett.

Carol is a film that likely needs no introduction but in case you somehow missed it let us break it down: Cate Blanchett. Rooney Mara. Sarah Paulson. Holiday shopping. Flung out of space. Creamed spinach and poached eggs. Waterloo, Iowa. Six Academy Award nominations. Oh, and also Kyle Chandler (if that helps tip anyone over the edge). Whether seeing it for the first time or seeing it again, it’s the best gift you could possibly give or receive this holiday season.

We can’t wait to see your face when you unwrap a whole evening of events:

7:00: Invite Me ‘Round themed cocktails and a Carol-themed photobooth

7:30: Christmas Carol-oke

8:00: Todd Haynes’ Carol and the annual booing of Harvey Weinstein

9:00: 15min intermission

The rate’s attractive at only $17 (all fees included) or $15 for Inside Out and Hot Docs members.

Santa hats (we like the hats)  and cruelty-free fur coats encouraged.
